Sidon: Israeli warplanes conducted two airstrikes on the Ain al-Hilweh camp for Palestinian refugees, located in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon. This operation was reported by Lebanon's state-run National News Agency. The strikes have raised concerns, but details regarding casualties remain undisclosed. However, ambulances were seen rushing to the site following the airstrikes.
According to Anadolu Agency, Israel's military actions in Lebanon have intensified since Monday due to limited rocket fire by Hezbollah. This escalation is part of broader regional tensions resulting from a military offensive launched by Israel and the US against Iran. The situation further deteriorated last week after the US and Israel conducted a joint attack in Iran, reportedly resulting in over 1,200 casualties, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran launched drone and missile strikes targeting both Israeli and US military locations in the Gulf.
The conflict has now spread to Lebanon, with ongoing cross-border attacks between Israel and Hezbollah. Lebanese figures report that these hostilities have caused nearly 400 deaths, injured over 1,100 individuals, and displaced thousands of people since the start of the week.
