Israeli Airstrikes in Nuseirat Camp Result in Civilian Casualties

Nuseirat: Israeli strikes on Wednesday evening killed 14 Palestinian civilians and injured others in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central war-battered Gaza Strip, according to local sources. They said that an Israeli combat drone targeted a Falafel kiosk near Al-Awda Hospital in the refugee camp, claiming the lives of five civilians and injuring others. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, another combat drone airstrike targeted a gathering of civilians in front of a school in al-Mukhayyam al-Jadid, an extension of the refugee camp. This attack claimed the lives of nine individuals, including three minors, and resulted in additional injuries. Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip on Tuesday, March 18, carrying out a wave of airstrikes across the area and killing hundreds of Palestinians. The death toll reached at least 6,454 with 22,551 others wounded, according to medical sources. In the last 24 hours, the bodies of 142 slai n Palestinians, including three retrieved from the rubble, and 487 casualties were admitted to Gaza hospitals. Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since October 2023, resulting in the deaths of 57,012 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 134,592 others. The Israeli aggression has also led to the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from across the Gaza Strip, with the majority forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt. This displacement is described as Palestine's largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
