Gaza city: Eight civilians were killed and several others injured on Monday evening in Israeli airstrikes targeting Gaza City and the Nuseirat refugee camp. WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli drones targeted a group of civilians on Al-Rasheed Street in western Gaza City, resulting in five fatalities and multiple injuries.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, three more civilians were killed in a separate Israeli airstrike that hit a tent in the southwestern area of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. The ongoing conflict has led to a staggering death toll in the Gaza Strip, now reaching 59,921, a figure that predominantly includes women and children, since the onset of Israeli aggression in October 2023. Additionally, at least 145,233 individuals have sustained injuries.
Medical sources confirmed that since the breach of the ceasefire agreement by Israel on March 18, 2025, aggressive actions have resulted in at least 8,755 civilian deaths and injuries to 33,192 others. Recent reports indicate that 100 bodies, including three retrieved from beneath rubble, and 382 injured have been transported to hospitals in Gaza over the past day.
The sources further highlighted that 25 civilians have been killed and more than 237 others have been injured in the past 24 hours while attempting to access humanitarian aid. The cumulative fatalities among aid seekers have reached 1,157, with injuries surpassing 7,758. Gaza hospitals have also reported 14 new deaths attributed to starvation and malnutrition, bringing the total to 147, including 88 children.
This tragic toll is likely an underestimation as many victims remain trapped beneath debris, inaccessible to rescue operations.
