Post: Israeli Airstrikes in Beirut’s Southern Suburbs Result in Two Fatalities

Beirut: Two people were killed in an Israeli attack on the Haret Hreik neighborhood in Beirut's southern suburbs on Sunday. The assault is part of ongoing military escalation between Israel and Hezbollah, a Lebanese resistance group.

According to Anadolu Agency, the attack is part of a series of airstrikes carried out by Israel on areas in southern Lebanon and the southern suburbs of Beirut. The Lebanese-Israeli border has seen rising tensions since a conflict involving Israel, the United States, and Iran began on February 28.

Hezbollah has been launching rockets and shells at Israeli military sites near the border. These actions are in support of Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip and in retaliation to Israeli strikes inside Lebanese borders.
