Beirut: Ten people were killed and others injured in Israeli airstrikes targeting several towns in southern Lebanon, according to local media reports. The strikes occurred on Saturday and have heightened tensions in the region.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli forces also issued new evacuation threats to residents in five towns within the Nabatieh District and West Bekaa District. Residents were ordered to leave their homes immediately and relocate north of the Zahrani River.
Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes conducted 15 airstrikes across towns in southern Lebanon, with heavy artillery shelling accompanying the aerial assaults. This escalation has raised concerns among local and international observers.
In addition to the airstrikes, Israeli forces carried out large-scale demolitions in the Marjeyoun District, further exacerbating the crisis and displacing many families. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to trade hostilities.
