Israeli Airstrike in Southern Lebanon Leaves Six Injured Amid Ceasefire

Nabatieh: Six people were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a town in southern Lebanon on Monday, despite a US-sponsored ceasefire, Lebanese media reported. The strike targeted the town of Qaqqaiyat al-Jisr in the Nabatieh district.

According to Anadolu Agency, the National News Agency, citing the Health Ministry, confirmed that the airstrike resulted in injuries to six individuals. This incident occurred despite a ceasefire agreement announced just days prior. The ceasefire, brokered by US President Donald Trump, was intended to last for 10 days, aiming to halt hostilities between Lebanon and Israel.

Since March 2, Israel has conducted an offensive in Lebanon, leading to significant casualties and displacement. Lebanese authorities report that approximately 2,300 people have been killed, more than 7,500 wounded, and over 1 million displaced due to the ongoing conflict.
