Israel Forces Two Siblings to Evacuate Home Near Jerusalem in Preparation for Demolition

Israeli occupation forces forced siblings kamal and karam mohammad abu swei to evacuate their homes in the wadi qaddum neighborhood of silwan:qsa Mosque compound, on Sunday, in preparation for their forced demolition. Local sources told WAFA that the two homes house 15 members of the Abu Swei family and are facing the threat of demolition due to the occupation's policy of imposing strict restrictions on granting building permits to Palestinians in occupied Jerusalem.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in a related development, the occupation authorities delivered several demolition notices to residents of the Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan. The notices target the homes of Mohammad Shweiki, the Badran family, Nader Baydoun, Hatem Baydoun, Ishaq Saweh, and Abdul Rahman Al-Abbasi.

These demolition notices are part of a settlement plan targeting the Al-Bustan neighborhood, which entails demolishing dozens of Palestinian homes for the benefit of Judaization projects. This is within the framework of the policy of forced displacement pursued by the occupation authorities against Jerusalemites, in violation of international law and resolutions of international legitimacy.
