Istanbul: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused Israel of repeatedly violating the Gaza ceasefire on fabricated grounds, warning that such actions undermine efforts to maintain the fragile truce. Erdogan's remarks were made during the Science Dissemination Awards ceremony held in Istanbul. According to TRTworld.com, Erdogan stated that Hamas has been upholding its commitments with patience despite ongoing Israeli provocations. He also criticized international media outlets for their failure to adequately report on the deaths of journalists in Gaza, highlighting that over 270 journalists have been killed while major global media organizations remain silent. Erdogan's comments coincide with Trkiye's observance of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People. On this occasion, Ankara reiterated its unwavering support for Palestinian rights and statehood. Erdogan emphasized that ignoring Israel's actions in Gaza would be akin to aiding and abetting them, reaffirming Trkiye's long -standing commitment to the Palestinian cause. With the onset of winter, Erdogan mentioned that Trkiye is intensifying its efforts to deliver humanitarian assistance to Gaza. He stressed the importance of maintaining the ceasefire and providing aid as essential steps toward achieving long-term stability in the region. Erdogan also reaffirmed Trkiye's commitment to a two-state solution, advocating for the establishment of a free, sovereign, and independent State of Palestine based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
