Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will visit Iraq tomorrow, Wednesday, in his first foreign visit since assuming office at the end of last July. Tasnim News Agency reported: "During the visit, the Iranian president will hold bilateral meetings with senior Iraqi officials and sign cooperation documents and security memoranda." The Iranian ambassador to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadiq, announced on the 28th of last month that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's visit to Baghdad will take place between September 10-20. He pointed out that "a high-level delegation will accompany President Pezeshkian in response to an invitation from Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani." Al-Sadiq continued: 'A number of memoranda of understanding that were scheduled to be signed by the Presidents of the two countries during the visit of the late President Ebrahim Raisi will be signed,' noting that 'some memoranda need to be referred by the relevant ministers in the government and will be signed by the ministers of the two countries at a later time due to the start of the formation of the new Iranian government.'
