The imam of the Friday prayer of al-Najaf, Sadr al-Din al-Qabbanji, said, "Iraq today is witnessing a development in its Arab relations, with mutual visits by officials, as Iraq returns to its pivotal role."
Al-Qabbanji said in the Friday sermon he delivered today in the Great Fatimid Hussainiya in Najaf: "The visit of the Emir of Qatar to Iraq and the visit of the Prime Minister to Egypt comes within the centrality of Iraq and the reality that we have imposed on the world and the need for Iraq's participation in all fields at the Arab level."
On the anniversary of the blessed fatwa, Al-Qabbanji said: "This fatwa failed the great conspiracy against the Islamic world, thanks to the call of the ascetic scholar, Imam Ali al-Sistani."
He added: "Here we pay tribute to the popular mobilization forces, al-Hawzah in Najaf, and the families of the martyrs to whom we are indebted, and we can only fulfill them by following their path."
