Gaza: President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Mirjana Spoljaric, called for unimpeded access of humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip. She emphasized the critical importance of maintaining the ceasefire to ensure that humanitarian aid can reach those in need.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Spoljaric stated, “Every effort must be made to maintain the ceasefire so that lives are spared from hostilities, humanitarian aid enters Gaza.” Her statement highlights the significant impact of the ceasefire agreement, which has been a source of hope and relief amidst ongoing challenges.
Spoljaric further noted that the ceasefire agreement has saved countless lives and presented a glimmer of hope to those experiencing severe hardship. She warned that any disruption to the progress made in the past six weeks could lead to a return to despair for many.
