Gaza: The Palestinian Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) have reported that, aside from the 1,886 Palestinians labeled as "illegal combatants" by the Israeli prison administration, hundreds continue to suffer from enforced disappearance. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the only data available regarding the number of detainees from Gaza, as recognized by the Israeli prison administration in early January 2025, shows that 1,886 Palestinians, including women and children, are classified as "illegal combatants." Additionally, it is reported that hundreds more are victims of enforced disappearance. The number of detainees from Gaza is believed to be in the thousands following the Israeli genocidal war. The occupation has been carrying out systematic torture of Gaza's detainees at an unprecedented level, resulting in the deaths of dozens. The Commission and PPS have released a list identifying 69 detainees from the Gaza Strip, who were detained after October 7, 2023, and are currently held in Israeli prisons and military camps. The list includes details about the detainees' locations within these facilities, although many detainees remain unaccounted for, with no information available about their whereabouts. Efforts are ongoing to verify the status of these detainees, especially since the last communication with the Israeli army indicated that no information was available regarding their fate.
