Hebron: The Hebron Municipality condemned on Wednesday Israeli colonists' seizure of a house adjacent to the old municipality building in the heart of the Old City of Hebron, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, and them holding a provocative party in the municipality square.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the municipality issued a statement considering this act part of a systematic policy to Judaize the Old City and impose a new reality by attacking citizens' property and closing main streets in the Al-Zahida and Al-Shalala areas, among others. The statement described this as "a flagrant violation of international laws and norms."
The municipality affirmed its commitment to legal measures aimed at protecting the city's cultural and historical heritage, emphasizing that such practices will not deter residents from maintaining their presence on their land and in their homes. It urged international and human rights organizations to take immediate action to halt these escalating attacks and ensure the protection of the residents and their historical properties.
A group of armed colonists, supported by occupation forces, stormed the home of the Nasr family in the Old City on Tuesday evening, seizing it and bringing furniture inside.
