Ramallah: Minister of Health Majed Abu Ramadan announced on Saturday the launch of the tenth round of the 'Our Blood is One' blood donation campaign, aimed at supporting patients and the wounded in the Gaza Strip and strengthening the national blood supply.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Abu Ramadan stated that the campaign will commence on Sunday morning and continue through Thursday at all blood banks in government hospitals, the Central Blood Bank in Ramallah, and the mobile blood bank unit. Donation centers will be operational daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
He further mentioned that field donation drives will be organized in collaboration with several national, civil society, and academic institutions to facilitate public participation and encourage wider community engagement.
Abu Ramadan emphasized that the 'Our Blood is One' campaign has evolved into more than just a blood donation effort, describing it as a symbol of Palestinian unity and solidarity, as well as a practical expression of support for patients and the wounded in challenging circumstances.
The minister urged citizens to participate widely in the campaign, highlighting the significance of solidarity and collective support for the healthcare sector and its capacity to continue delivering essential services.
