Gaza Strip: Khalil Al-Daqran, the medical director of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, reported that the Gaza Strip has entered Stage 5 of malnutrition, which is the most severe stage as classified by the World Health Organization. This dire situation is attributed to the ongoing tight blockade imposed by the Israeli occupation.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Al-Daqran highlighted the grave impact on Gaza's children, who are currently experiencing critical levels of malnutrition. The shortage of food and infant formula poses a significant threat to their lives.
Al-Daqran also pointed out that around 200,000 patients suffering from chronic diseases are facing life-threatening conditions due to the depletion of their essential medications.
