Gaza: The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 73,246, with 173,727 people injured since October 7, 2023, medical sources in the enclave said Saturday.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, hospitals across Gaza received 13 bodies over the past 24 hours, as well as 18 injured people. The ongoing conflict has severely strained medical facilities, which are struggling to cope with the influx of casualties.
The sources added that since the ceasefire started on October 11 last year, the death toll has reached 1,123, while 3,616 people have been injured. They also said that 800 bodies have been recovered during the same period. The recovery efforts continue to be hampered by the challenging conditions on the ground.
Medical sources reported that a number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble and in the streets. Ambulance and civil defense crews face significant obstacles in reaching these individuals, further complicating rescue operations. The situation remains dire as efforts to provide aid and medical care continue amid the conflict.
