Gaza: The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 56,259 since the onset of Israeli aggression in October 2023, with a significant portion of the casualties being women and children. In addition, at least 132,458 people have sustained injuries during this period.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources have confirmed that out of the total casualties, 5,936 civilians have been killed and 20,417 have been injured since March 18, 2025. This date marks the resumption of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip following the breach of a ceasefire agreement.
The sources further reported that in the past 24 hours alone, 103 bodies and 219 injured individuals have been transported to hospitals in Gaza. The ongoing conflict has severely impacted the region's access to medical care and emergency services.
Additionally, the number of individuals killed by Israeli forces in aid distribution areas, whose bodies were subsequently taken to hospitals, has reached 115. More than 1,110 others have been injured in these areas, highlighting the dire situation on the ground.
The reported figures are incomplete as many victims remain trapped under rubble, with rescue efforts hampered by limited access for ambulance and rescue crews.
