Gaza Death Toll Climbs to 72,265 Despite Ceasefire

Gaza city: Although a ceasefire in Gaza went into effect on October 11, the death toll in the Gaza Strip has continued to rise, reaching 72,265, mostly women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. At least 171,959 others have also been injured.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, this toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews. Medical sources reported that the bodies of two slain Palestinians and 11 injuries arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.

Since the ceasefire went into effect on October 11, the number of those killed and injured has reached 689 and 1,860, respectively. At least 756 bodies have also been recovered from under the rubble.
