Hebron: Four Palestinians, including a woman, were injured on Sunday after being assaulted by Israeli colonists in the Masafer Yatta region, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank. Activist Osama Makhamra reported that armed colonists wearing Israeli military uniforms attacked residents in Khirbet Umm al-Kheir, resulting in four people being wounded with bruises and other injuries.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, earlier in the day, colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, seized additional Palestinian land by relocating and expanding the perimeter fence of the illegal Carmel colony. This expansion pushed the fence deeper into the western part of Umm al-Kheir.
When local residents attempted to defend their land, Israeli forces responded by firing stun bombs and tear gas. They also physically assaulted civilians and detained several individuals in the process.
