Burqa: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Sunday strongly condemned the attacks carried out by groups of colonists on the towns of Deir Dibwan and Burqa, east of Ramallah, including acts of arson targeting vehicles and land, as well as an attempt to burn a mosque.
According to Palestine news and Information Agency, the ministry stated that these attacks are part of a systematic Israeli policy that employs organized and daily terrorism against the Palestinian people. This policy, the ministry noted, is aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians from their land and undermining their resilience.
The statement highlighted that the continued impunity enjoyed by colonists encourages further crimes and violations against Palestinian citizens and their property. It called for increased pressure on the Israeli government through available legal, economic, and political tools to address these issues.
The ministry urged the international community, the United Nations, the Security Council, and all states to take immediate and concrete measures to halt the colonists' attacks and ensure accountability for the perpetrators. The statement emphasized the need to treat these assaults as a form of organized terrorism.
Additionally, the ministry renewed its call for international protection for the Palestinian people and advocated for the imposition of deterrent sanctions on the occupation and its colonists. This call aligns with the legal and moral responsibilities of the international community to protect the rights and safety of the Palestinian population.
