Gaza city: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Varsen Shahin was received by Poland's Deputy Foreign Minister, Wojciech Zajaczkowski, on the sidelines of the Meeting of the Ambassadors of the State of Palestine to Europe, hosted by the Polish Government in Warsaw.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Deputy Foreign Minister Zajaczkowski conveyed the greetings of Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radoslaw Sikorski, and reaffirmed Poland's commitment to supporting a just and lasting peace based on international law and the two-State solution.
He stressed the importance of sustaining the ceasefire in Gaza, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian assistance, releasing Palestinian clearance revenues, and ending settlement expansion and settler violence. He also reiterated Poland's continued support for international peace efforts and humanitarian and development assistance to the Palestinian people.
Minister Shahin thanked the Polish Government for hosting the meeting of Palestinian Ambassadors to Europe for the second time since 2012, describing it as a reflection of the longstanding relations between Palestine and Poland and a strong message of support for diplomatic engagement.
She underscored that the meeting aims to strengthen coordination among Palestinian missions across Europe, mobilize international support to end the Israeli aggression, ensure humanitarian access, and advance the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including ending the occupation and realizing the independent State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.
