Foreign Minister Shahin Briefs Lithuanian Counterpart on Latest Developments in Palestinian Area

Vilnius: Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister Varsen Shahin briefed her Lithuanian counterpart Kestutis Budrys on the latest developments in the Palestinian area. During a meeting in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, Minister Shahin and her counterpart Budrys discussed the political and security developments in the Middle East in addition to the grave humanitarian crisis in the war-battered Gaza Strip.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the discussions between the two ministers also focused on ways to enhance bilateral relations and expand cooperation at both official and public levels. They emphasized the importance of protecting the civilian population of the Gaza Strip and finding ways to end their humanitarian suffering.

The two diplomats pledged to pursue diplomatic efforts to convey the narrative of the tragedy of the Palestinian people and safeguard their inalienable rights. On his official account on the X platform, Foreign Minister Budrys reiterated the urgent need for a full ceasefire and reaffirmed Lithuania's support for a two-state solution.
