Five people, including three paramedics, killed in Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon


BEIRUT: Southern Lebanon has witnessed a substantial escalation in military activity, highlighted by a series of ongoing Israeli airstrikes that have led to numerous fatalities and injuries, as well as widespread destruction in residential and civilian areas.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health has confirmed the killing of three paramedics who were performing a humanitarian mission in the town of Ain Baal.

In one of the most devastating attacks, an Israeli airstrike struck a medical center in the town of Ain Baal, killing three paramedics who were inside providing aid to civilians affected by earlier bombings. The strike resulted in the near total destruction of the medical facility, while civil defense teams are actively working to recover victims and tend to the injured.

Israeli aggression against Lebanon has resulted in extensive damage to infrastructure across various villages, with airstrikes hitting residential and agricultural areas, along with several public facilities. Local authorities have declared
a state of emergency in multiple towns, and significant displacement has occurred in some regions as residents flee their homes in search of safety.
