Amman: Firefighters, following prolonged and arduous efforts, successfully contained a blaze that ravaged extensive swathes of dry grass and trees in the Safsafa area of Ajloun Governorate. According to a spokesperson from the Public Security Department, the firefighting teams swiftly responded to three separate ignition points within the Safsafa vicinity. Negotiating challenging terrain and confronting elevated temperatures, the teams managed to prevent the fire's spread to adjacent areas, mercifully without any reported casualties. Support for the operation was bolstered by the deployment of two Royal Air Force aircraft, in conjunction with personnel from the Ajloun Police, Gendarmerie, Ajloun Agriculture Department, and the Greater Ajloun Municipality. A diverse array of operational vehicles, including fire engines, platforms, loaders, supply tanks, fire towers, and agricultural tractors from the Civil Defense, Ajloun Agriculture Directorate, and Greater Ajloun Municipality, were mobilized to combat th e blaze. The extensive effort also involved numerous personnel from the Public Security Directorate, across its formations and units, who played a pivotal role in reinforcing the Civil Defense's operations.
