Jerusalem: EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, stated that the action taken by Israeli police to prevent Jerusalem's Latin Patriarch from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre on Palm Sunday represents a breach of religious freedom and the established protections of holy sites.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Kallas expressed her concerns in a post on X, emphasizing the necessity for freedom of worship in Jerusalem to be upheld unconditionally for all religious communities. She underscored the importance of safeguarding the multi-religious nature of Jerusalem.
