Paris: The leaders of France, the United Kingdom, and Germany-collectively known as the 'European Troika'-have called for an immediate ceasefire to end the war in Gaza and affirmed their commitment to supporting diplomatic efforts by the United States, Qatar, and Egypt. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in a joint statement released Friday evening, the Troika warned that "the humanitarian disaster we are witnessing in Gaza must end now." They added that they "strongly oppose any attempts to impose Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories."
