Her statement came in a post on X, highlighting the urgency of the situation and the EU's continued commitment to international and humanitarian law.
Von der Leyen expressed profound concern for the civilians in Gaza, noting that they have suffered excessively and for too long. She urged an immediate end to their plight, underscoring the necessity for a resolution. The President's call to action included a direct message to Israel, urging the nation to fulfill its commitments and responsibilities in the context of the ongoing conflict.
