Erdogan Criticizes Netanyahu, Labels Him Ideologically Aligned with Hitler Over Doha Strike

Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan lambasted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday for Israel's attack on the Hamas negotiation team in Qatar last week, stating, "Ideologically, Netanyahu is like a relative of Hitler."

According to TRTworld.com, Erdogan compared Netanyahu to Hitler, suggesting that just as Hitler could not foresee his defeat, Netanyahu will face the same ultimate fate. Erdogan made these remarks while returning from Doha, where he attended an emergency Arab-Islamic summit following the Israeli air strike.

Erdogan condemned the attack on the Hamas negotiation team, describing it as a blatant challenge to international order and law. He accused Israel's leadership of turning their radical mindset into what he termed a murderous network built on fascist ideology.

Additionally, Erdogan discussed Türkiye's diplomatic efforts in Libya, focusing on the protection of the country's sovereignty and unity. He emphasized Türkiye's commitment to safeguarding Libya's territorial integrity and political unity, stating that all actions are guided by these objectives.

Erdogan highlighted Türkiye's support for the legitimate Tripoli government from the outset and mentioned recent diplomatic efforts with eastern Libya. This, he said, reflects Türkiye's multidimensional diplomatic efforts, regional vision, and commitment to achieving peace. He also noted that the Benghazi administration's approval of the maritime jurisdiction agreement between Türkiye and Tripoli would be significant under international law.
