Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Jordanian King Abdullah II emphasized the necessity for the complete enforcement of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, along with advocating for unrestricted humanitarian aid entry into the region.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed al-Shenawy conveyed that discussions between the Egyptian President and the Jordanian King at the Presidential Palace were centered on the developments in the Gaza Strip. They underscored the urgency of initiating early recovery and reconstruction efforts in the area.
In addition, both leaders reiterated their nations' unwavering opposition to any endeavors aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their homeland. The talks also covered recent events in the West Bank, where they jointly condemned violations and arbitrary actions against the Palestinian population.
Furthermore, the Egyptian President and Jordanian King highlighted that establishing an independent Palestinian state, within the borders of June 4, 1967, and with East Jerusalem as its capital, is essential for achieving enduring peace and stability throughout the Middle East region.
