Egyptian and Jordanian Foreign Ministers Urge Global Focus on Gaza Humanitarian Crisis

Amman: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Expatriates, Badr Abdel-Aty, and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, have urged that international attention on a potential conflict with Iran should not overshadow efforts to address the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the ministers emphasized this stance during a phone call on Tuesday. They highlighted the necessity to halt illegal Israeli activities in the West Bank, which they believe undermine prospects for achieving a just peace. The ministers also condemned attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinians, labeling these actions as violations of international law and a dangerous escalation that requires a unified international response.

The ministers further criticized Israel's continued infringement on the rights of Muslims and Christians to worship in occupied Palestinian territories, particularly its restrictions on religious practices at holy sites.

Safadi and Abdel-Aty also condemned Israel's aggressive actions against Lebanon and its expansionist policies in the region. They reaffirmed their solidarity in safeguarding Arab national security and expressed their commitment to enhancing joint Arab efforts to tackle shared challenges.
