HEBRON: Dozens of Palestinian students and faculty members suffocated on Sunday after being attacked by tear gas canisters fired by Israeli forces at the Arroup Secondary School for boys to the north of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.

Abdel Hay Jawabra, the secretary of Fatah movement in the al-Arroub camp, said Israeli forces fired toxic gas canisters toward the school, causing dozens of students and faculty members to suffocate.

The school administration was forced to evacuate all students, using alternative routes to ensure their safety.
