Yatta: Israeli colonists razed large swaths of Palestinian lands in the village of Birin, east of Yatta, south of Hebron, according to a local official. Fareed Burqan, head of the Birin Village Council, reported that the colonists are bulldozing land in multiple directions to establish new colonial outposts and pave roads and farms for colonists under the protection of the occupation army.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the bulldozing operations are occurring close to residents' homes, threatening their existence and steadfastness on their lands. Burqan mentioned that the village is increasingly encircled by illegal outposts, land seizures, and demolitions of homes, wells, and roads.
Burqan affirmed that the occupation has seized approximately 7,200 dunams out of the village's total area of 8,000 dunams. This situation has raised concern among residents about forced displacement amid the lack of security and the continued attacks by colonists and the occupation army.
