Negev: The Detainees Affairs Commission reported on Tuesday that prisoners in Negev Prison are enduring extremely harsh conditions. The prisoners have detailed their daily suffering, including frequent beatings, insults, and searches. Many prisoners are transferred to solitary confinement cells on a daily basis.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the prisoners have expressed concerns over inadequate food supplies, with the prison administration limiting them to one plate and one cup per prisoner, alongside imposing hefty fines. Additionally, prisoner Mu'min Husam al-Din Touqan, 36, from Jenin, who has been detained since July 8, 2025, is experiencing severe health issues including scabies and fungal infections. The prison administration has reportedly refused to provide necessary medical treatment, even withholding painkillers. Touqan is also suffering from malnutrition and has experienced significant weight loss, having lost 15 kilograms.
