Gaza: The death toll in the Gaza Strip from the ongoing Israeli aggression has reached 85 within the last 24 hours, according to medical sources. The fatalities include 53 Palestinian civilians in the northern region of the Strip, 28 in the central area, and four in the southern enclave. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the bodies of the deceased were distributed across various hospitals: 38 were taken to Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, 15 to Al-Shifa Hospital, 19 to Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital, nine to Al-Awda Hospital, and four to Nasser Hospital. The escalation followed Israel's unilateral decision to end the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resume military operations on Tuesday, March 18. This has resulted in significant casualties, with at least 13,280 individuals killed and 56,675 others wounded. Since October 2023, Israel has conducted a military campaign on the Gaza Strip, leading to the deaths of 66,148 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and injuring 168,716 individuals. The conflict has also left at least 10,000 people unaccounted for, presumed dead beneath the rubble of their homes. The aggression has further led to the displacement of nearly two million people within the Gaza Strip. Most of the displaced have been forced into Rafah, a densely populated city near the Egyptian border, marking the largest mass exodus in Palestine since the 1948 Nakba.
