Hebron: The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from a missile strike on a beauty salon in the town of Beit Awa has increased to four. This tragic update follows the passing of a pregnant woman who succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday evening.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the fourth victim has been identified as Asil Samir Masalmeh, a 32-year-old who was six months pregnant. The attack resulted in Dura Governmental Hospital receiving three deceased individuals and four injured persons on Wednesday evening.
Among the injured was another pregnant woman who sustained critical injuries. She was transferred to Al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, where she later died. Additionally, a child was critically injured but has since been stabilized. The remaining two injuries were reported as minor.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that blood banks were adequately prepared with no shortages occurring. Medical teams at Dura Governmental Hospital, with additional support from Hebron Governmental Hospital staff, successfully treated and stabilized the injured while some patients were transferred to other hospitals within the governorate.
The Ministry expressed gratitude for the effective coordination between its staff, the Red Crescent, and both private and public hospitals, which played a crucial role in saving lives.
