Post: Danish Prime Minister Labels Netanyahu as a Problem

Copenhagen: Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen stated on Saturday that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has become a problem, adding that she intends to exert pressure on Israel regarding the Gaza conflict while Denmark holds the EU presidency. 'Netanyahu is now a problem in himself,' Frederiksen said, adding that the Israeli government was going too far in its war on Gaza, referring to the Israeli cabinet's approval on August 8 of a plan proposed by Netanyahu to fully reoccupy the Gaza Strip.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Frederiksen also criticized the humanitarian situation in Gaza and spoke against the new colonial settlement project in the occupied West Bank. She described the situation in Gaza as appalling and catastrophic, indicating a need for international intervention and resolution. The Danish Prime Minister's comments come at a time when Denmark is in a position to influence EU policies, which may impact Israel's actions in the region.
