Colonizer Terrorism Leads to Forced Displacement of Bedouin Community Near Ramallah

Ramallah: The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission states that colonizer militias' terrorism, sponsored by the official institution in the occupying state, led to the forced displacement of the Maghayer Al Dir Bedouin community, east of Ramallah, this morning.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the commission, Minister Mu'ayya Sha'ban, highlighted that the ongoing escalation of colonizer terrorism, which includes the establishment of structures within the community and the intimidation, terrorization, and deprivation of basic necessities, ultimately forced the residents to leave the area. He described it as another addition to the series of crimes committed by the occupation state under the pretense of genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Sha'ban emphasized that the forced displacement of Bedouin communities remains a critical concern, given the occupying state's approach to creating a coercive environment. This approach involves practices such as assault, intimidation, and the denial of access to grazing lands, water sources, and basic services.

He further detailed that to date, the continued colonizer assaults have led to the displacement of more than 30 Bedouin communities, comprising 323 families. The latest incident involved the Maghayer Al Dir Bedouin community, located between Der Dibwan and Mikhmas, consisting of 25 Palestinian families, totaling 124 individuals.

Since the beginning of 2025, approximately 1200 assaults have been carried out by colonizers, with 38% of these targeting Bedouin communities in the eastern slopes and the Jordan Valley. These actions, Sha'ban noted, represent a significant violation of international law.

Sha'ban called on Palestinians to actively resist the colonizer militias' actions, urging for legal accountability through both national and international judicial bodies. He also appealed to institutions, factions, unions, and forces of the Palestinian national movement to take immediate steps to support communities, especially in the Jordan Valley and Masafer Yatta.

He advocated for the activation of night protection committees and maintaining a grassroots presence, warning that delay in national mobilization might expedite the plans of displacement and allow colonizers to impose new realities on the ground.
