Nablus: Israeli colonists on Friday vandalized a school in Al-Lubban Ash-Sharqiya village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources. They reported that colonists broke into the local girls' school after smashing the main door, and carried out acts of vandalism, including breaking a Palestinian flagpole, resulting in material damage.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Samer Al-Jamal, Director-General of Education in Southern Nablus, has called for urgent intervention to halt colonists' attacks and ensure the protection of educational institutions. This incident is part of a broader pattern of violence by colonists against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank, which is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
Colonists' violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, as reported by the local sources. Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
