Colonists Storm Bedouin Community Near Jericho, Photograph Residents’ Homes

Jericho: A group of Israeli colonists stormed the Arab al-Malihat Bedouin community northwest of Jericho, roaming through the community while photographing residents' homes, sheep pens, and grazing areas.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Hassan Malihat, an official with Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, stated that colonists monitored and documented the locations of residents' homes and animal pens in the area. He criticized this intrusion as part of a systematic policy aimed at intimidating Bedouin residents and forcibly displacing them from their lands.

The Arab al-Malihat area, similar to other Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley, frequently experiences incursions and other violations by colonists and Israeli forces, as part of broader efforts aimed at displacing the indigenous population.
