Colonists Ignite Agricultural Land Near Ramallah

RAMALLAH: Israeli colonists set fire on Sunday evening to agricultural land in the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah, according to local sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, colonists ignited farmland located in the eastern plain area of the town, resulting in the burning of several olive trees. The incident has raised concerns about the ongoing tensions and the impact on local agriculture and livelihoods.

Additionally, Israeli occupation forces detained two Palestinians along with their vehicle near the iron gate installed at the main entrance of the town as they attempted to enter. This detention further adds to the escalating situation in the area.

Earlier, Israeli forces had closed the town's main entrance with a metal gate, compelling residents to resort to alternative and rugged routes for access. This closure has disrupted the daily lives of the residents, adding to the growing challenges faced by the community in Turmus Ayya.
