Jordan valley: Colonists began fencing off land in the northern Jordan Valley on Monday. The head of the al-Maleh village council, Mahdi Daraghmeh, reported that colonists began fencing off land in the Umm al-Jamal area of the northern Jordan Valley this morning.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, colonists had previously fenced off privately owned land in the nearby Ein al-Hilweh area. This recent activity raises concerns about the ongoing tensions surrounding land ownership in the region.
Two years ago, colonists' attacks forced approximately 14 Palestinian families to leave the Umm al-Jamal area after settlers established an outpost there. The renewed fencing efforts have sparked fears of further displacement among the local Palestinian communities.
