Post: Colonists Establish New Outpost Near Al-Auja, North of Jericho

Al-auja: Israeli colonists established a new settlement outpost on Monday near the town of Al-Auja, north of Jericho, according to local sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency, Hassan Mleihat, General Supervisor of the Al-Baidar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, reported that a large number of colonists brought equipment to the area and conducted land-clearing operations. These efforts are aimed at establishing a new colonial presence on Palestinian land.

Mleihat pointed out that there are already seven pastoral colonial outposts in the Al-Auja area. He mentioned that these outposts are among the primary tools used to seize Palestinian land and exert pressure on local residents, threatening their continued presence in the Jordan Valley.

Colonial outposts are considered illegal under international law. Palestinian officials have repeatedly warned that the expansion of these outposts contributes to the displacement of Palestinian communities and the fragmentation of Palestinian territory.
