Salfit: Israeli colonists have set up several tents on lands belonging to the town of Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the tents were pitched on the western side of the town, between Deir Istiya and the neighboring village of Qarawat Bani Hassan.
Local activists have expressed concerns that this move is an attempt to seize land for a new colonial outpost. Deir Istiya is already heavily encircled by colony activity, with nine established colonies and two illegal outposts occupying its lands, which poses a direct and ongoing threat to Palestinian ownership and presence in the area.
