Post: Colonists Block Key Road to Arab al-Malehat, Conduct Home Surveys

Jericho: Israeli colonists on Saturday blocked the main road leading to the Arab al-Malehat Bedouin community, northwest of Jericho in the occupied West Bank, and conducted a provocative survey of the residents' homes.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Hassan Malehat, general coordinator of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights and Targeted Communities, reported that a group of colonists closed the road leading to the community. This action restricted the movement of residents, preventing them from freely entering or exiting the area.

Malehat warned of a sharp escalation in attacks by Israeli colonists in recent days. He noted that the targeting of people and property in Arab al-Malehat has become increasingly systematic and aggressive, raising concerns among the residents.

The incident comes amid growing concerns over rising colonist violence and attempts by the Israeli occupation authorities to forcibly displace Bedouin and rural Palestinian communities across the occupied West Bank.
