Ramallah: Colonists on Wednesday began paving a colonial road in the Khirbet Tarfeen area near the entrance of the town of Atara, north of Ramallah, on land seized last August.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the site is located on a mountain covering an area of approximately 2,000 dunums and is considered an archaeological area. The activity marks a significant development in the ongoing tensions in the region.
Colonists' violence against Palestinians and their properties has dramatically increased since the onset of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7th, 2023. This escalation has led to further international scrutiny and criticism.
The indiscriminate violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians and their properties has been widely condemned. Several countries have imposed sanctions against Israeli colonists accused of committing acts of violence against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.
