Colonists Begin Fencing Off Land in Northern Jordan Valley for Seizure

Gaza: Colonists began fencing off lands in the northern Jordan Valley on Monday, in preparation for seizure.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the Al-Malih village council and the Bedouin encampments, Mahdi Daraghmeh, reported that a number of colonists have started enclosing areas of land in the regions of Umm al-Quba, Samra, and al-Marmaleh.

He noted that the fenced area covers more than four thousand dunums, which are registered in land records as belonging to over 300 families. The northern Jordan Valley has seen a rise in the number of attacks by colonists on citizens and their properties.

These attacks consist of raiding homes, intimidating and assaulting residents, damaging their properties, and pursuing them in pastures, thereby restricting their access to these areas. Additionally, there have been incidents of assaulting and stealing livestock from the local population.
