Jerusalem: Israeli colonists attacked sheep shepherds on Sunday morning in the Bedouin community of Al-Hathroura near Khan Al-Ahmar, southeast of occupied Jerusalem, and prevented them from grazing their livestock.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Jerusalem Governorate reported that a group of colonists was involved in the incident. The attack led to a disruption of daily activities for the shepherds, who rely on grazing to sustain their livestock and livelihood.
The situation in the area remains tense as this incident adds to the ongoing conflicts between the local Bedouin communities and the colonists. The Bedouin community of Al-Hathroura, like others in the region, faces frequent challenges in accessing resources necessary for their traditional way of life.
The international community continues to monitor the situation closely, as such incidents contribute to the broader tensions in the region. The Jerusalem Governorate is expected to address the issue with relevant authorities to prevent further escalations and ensure the safety and rights of the local shepherds.
