Ramallah: Groups of Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian citizens on Monday at the entrance to the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah, while Israeli occupation forces set up a military checkpoint on the road connecting the towns of Yabrud and Silwad in the same area, according to local eyewitness.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a number of colonists directly targeted citizens with stones at the entrance to Burqa. This incident triggered panic and fear among the residents, resulting in minor injuries.
Meanwhile, occupation forces established a military checkpoint on the Yabrud-Silwad road, east of Ramallah. Soldiers intercepted passing vehicles, thoroughly searched them, and inspected the identity cards of citizens. This caused severe traffic congestion and impeded public movement for several hours.
This assault is part of an escalating pattern of colonizer attacks against Palestinian citizens and their property across various areas of the West Bank, often carried out under the protection of occupation forces.
