Post: Colonists and Occupation Forces Disrupt Olive Harvest in Beit Kahil

Hebron:Colonists, supported by Israeli occupation forces, launched an attack on olive harvesters in the village of Beit Kahil, northwest of Hebron, on Monday. The assault included attempts to harm several farmers and a homeowner, further escalating tensions in the area.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, among the farmers targeted in the attack were Ahmad Salman al-Atawneh, his son Mohammed, and three of his grandchildren. In a separate incident, Israeli occupation forces also prevented a member of the al-Skafi family from reaching his home in Hebron city.

Additionally, colonists planted Israeli flags on land in the Wadi al-Qaf area of Beit Kahil. The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported 482 attacks on the olive harvest season through October 25, affecting nine West Bank governorates. These attacks included assaults on farmers, preventing land access, crop theft, and property damage, all coinciding with restrictions imposed by Israeli forces on farmers' access to their fields.

The commission highlighted that such actions hinder Palestinian families from harvesting and benefiting from their crops, posing a threat to their continued presence on their agricultural lands, especially in areas near colonies and colonial outposts.
