Cold Conditions Prevail in Palestine with Imminent Polar Low-Pressure Threat

Gaza: The weather in Palestine today is anticipated to be generally clear but cold, particularly in mountainous regions, with relatively cooler conditions prevailing elsewhere. A slight increase in temperatures is expected, accompanied by light to moderate winds shifting from southwesterly to northwesterly, as reported by the Palestinian Meteorological Department.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the wind patterns are projected to transition from southwesterly to westerly, with moderate to active intensities, and the sea will experience slight waves. As evening approaches, the weather will transition to partly cloudy to clear skies, with extremely cold conditions expected overnight.

Looking ahead to Tuesday, conditions will be partly cloudy to clear, with relatively cold weather in mountainous areas and moderate temperatures elsewhere. A slight rise in temperatures is anticipated, with light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly winds, and the sea will maintain slight wave activity.

On Wednesday, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy to clear with relatively cold conditions in the mountains, while other regions will experience moderate temperatures. No significant changes in temperature are forecasted.

However, a significant shift is predicted for Thursday as a very cold polar low-pressure system is set to impact the region. This will cause a substantial drop in temperatures, falling below the annual average. Heavy rain showers, accompanied by thunderstorms, are expected to occur across various regions.

The Palestinian Meteorological Department has issued warnings regarding potential hazards, including reduced visibility, slippery roads, and the risk of floods in valleys and low-lying areas, particularly in the eastern regions. Residents are advised to exercise caution while traveling.
